Hot Rolled Round Tubes is made from flat rolled basic oxygen steel, which is formed into a tubular shape and then welded by the electric resistance process. In the welding process there is no loss of properties, and no irregularity that may be observed in the structure. It is available in a wide range of diameters but is confined to relatively thin walls. Round tubing 1-1/4” OD and over is carried with inside flash controlled to a maximum height of .010. Smaller this size is generally carried flash in.
